FEEL GOOD

Imagine this...

It’s December, a cold winter in Hoboken, New Jersey. A mother is ready to give birth—but things take a tragic turn. After a difficult labor and the use of forceps, a stillborn baby is delivered.

I can only imagine the scene... the commotion in the room, the doctors rushing to care for the mother. They place the baby on a tray—after all, they believe he won’t make it. His cheek, neck, and ear are torn. He’s silent. Motionless.

But in the room stands a determined grandmother who refuses to give up on her grandbaby.

This courageous woman picks up the 13.5-pound infant, runs him under cold water, and slaps him back to life!

Maybe you’ve heard this story before. If not, now you know how Francis Albert Sinatra—better known as Frank Sinatra—came into the world. https://www.thefranksinatra.com/articles/birth-of-frank-sinatra

This story reminds me so much of parents of children on the autism spectrum. Never giving up. Trusting their intuition. Sometimes fighting the systems—doctors, schools, and professionals—who are supposed to help. And just like that heroic grandmother, I think of all the grandparents who pour love and energy into raising or supporting these amazing kids.

Today, I want to honor my own mother-in-law—a quiet hero in my children’s lives. She was always happy to babysit, pick them up from school, cheer them on at every game, dance with them, bake for them and spoil them rotten. I remember her playing on the floor with them, chasing them, teasing them, and loving them unconditionally.

Happy 96th Birthday in heaven. Thank you for being a wonderful, brave, fun and loving grandmother and mother in-law! you are unforgettable. Miss ya!

What makes it even more special? The pictures show a place that feels truly Autism-Friendly. Thoughtful layouts, sensory-friendly spaces, cozy nooks for play, and intentional displays that say: "Every child belongs here."

Since many of us won’t be able to visit in person, I’m sharing the Google Maps link here so you can browse through the visitor photos—you’ll feel the joy just by looking!

🌟 If you ever get the chance to visit, please send us a picture—we’d love to share it!

Let’s spread the word and hope other toy stores catch the vision. The world needs more spaces like this.

🌿 A Stroll Through Bath, England

Bath is a truly charming city—a place where history, literature, and elegance come together. With its ancient Roman Baths, the awe-inspiring Bath Abbey, and quaint Georgian streets, it feels like stepping into another time.

And of course… any Jane Austen fans out there like me? Bath is home to the delightful Jane Austen Centre, and if you wander around town, you might even pass the door of one of her former residences.

Bath is a peaceful place to slow down and stroll, a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of big cities. With its unique blend of beauty, culture, and calm, it’s truly a city worth visiting.
