I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?
You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.
Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?
Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.
The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.
That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.
Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.
Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.
If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.

🗺️ Back-to-School Tools for Autism Families
Simple resources to help your child feel supported, seen, and less alone
A mom once shared with me that her teen was switching schools in the middle of the year.
She was worried. Starting a new school is hard enough, but starting in the middle of the year can feel even harder for neurodiverse kids who rely on routine, familiarity, and safe people.
So this mom asked a friend one simple question:
“Do you think your daughter could watch out for my kid during the first week, especially at lunchtime?”
That was it.
And that one ask, opened the door for lunch invitations, friendship, social growth, and support when hard times came.
Sometimes the most powerful resource is not complicated. Sometimes it is one safe person.
Here are a few back-to-school tools and resources that may help.
🎒 Social Prep Tools
Role-playing scripts
Practice real situations like asking to sit with someone at lunch, responding to teasing, or asking an adult for help.Visual schedules
Apps like Choiceworks or Time Timer can help reduce anxiety by making the school day more predictable.Safety plan card
Create a small laminated card with contact information, calming strategies, and trusted adults your child can go to.
🧑🏫 For Teachers and Staff
Student Snapshot Sheet
Send a one-page introduction that includes strengths, triggers, calming tools, communication tips, and what brings your child joy.
🤝 Spotlight Resource: Build an Ally Team
An ally team can include a peer buddy, teacher, aide, counselor, church friend, or involved parent.
