DREAM
👑Even Queens Need Permission to Rest
When you were a little girl, did you ever dream of meeting a prince and, like in the fairytales, becoming a princess one day?
Stay with me—don't roll your eyes just yet.
Sometimes, as I scroll through my feed, I see photos and videos of someone many admire: a woman who did just that. Catherine Middleton. When I look at her, I see beauty, poise, graceful presence, stunning style, and seemingly picture-perfect, well-behaved children. She carries herself with dignity and serves others through meaningful charity work, much like her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
From the outside, it can feel like she has it all… almost too perfect.
But the truth is, none of us really knows what happens behind closed doors. Even in royal life, there are struggles that no title can erase. In 2024, she shared publicly that she was facing cancer and asked for privacy—to heal, and to protect her children. That moment was a quiet reminder: even those who seem to live in a fairytale still walk through very real challenges.
A woman constantly in the public eye… and still, she needed space to simply be a mother navigating a hard season.
And that brings me to you.
As Mother's Day approaches, I find myself wishing I could throw a grand ROYAL celebration in your honor!!!
Because whether the world sees it or not, you are the queen of your home.
You protect your kingdom. You serve as counselor, advocate and decision-maker. You manage crises, negotiate daily battles (some that truly feel like war), and carry responsibilities that often go unseen. Even you, may be dealing with cancer, or other health, emotional or mental issues…
If you are reading this and you are a mom—especially a mom raising a child with autism—you deserve a crown.👑
You lead with grace when it's hard. You show patience when you're stretched thin. You offer understanding, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. And your love? It runs deeper, stronger, fiercer—because your child depends on you in extraordinary ways.
Today, we celebrate you. Not for perfection, but for your strength, your resilience, and the quiet, powerful way you show up every single day.
You may not have been given a crown—but you've earned one. And even if only figuratively, you wear it with strength and quiet pride, because you deserve to be honored—not just today on Mother's Day, but every single day.
Even in the moments when you don't feel like celebrating, I hope you remember just how truly remarkable and deeply valuable you are.
And to the incredible dads and grandparents out there doing both roles—serving as both mom and dad—I honor you too. You are doing double duty, and you deserve to be seen. You are truly royalty with a big heart! 👑
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND!!!

Summer Is Coming—And So Are Your Wings✈️
✈️ How Airlines Are Supporting Travelers with Autism
Air travel can present unique challenges for individuals with autism and their families. Fortunately, several airlines are stepping up with inclusive programs that provide practice flights, visual guides, and customized support to help make flying a more comfortable and empowering experience.
Here's a roundup of major airlines offering autism-friendly programs:
Alaska Airlines – "Fly for All" App & Practice Flights are great resources to ease travel for individuals with disabilities.
American Airlines – "It's Cool to Fly American" (ICTFA) The ICTFA program is a guided airport simulation that allows children with autism and their families to go through the full flight process, including security checks, boarding, and taxiing. Check the airline’s social media for updates!
Delta Air Lines – "Taking Flight Tour". Some airports offer this, some do not. Contact your local airport.
United Airlines – Accessibility Services. While United does not currently offer formal practice flights, the airline provides support through its Accessibility Desk. Travelers with cognitive or invisible disabilities are encouraged to call ahead for assistance throughout their journey.
Southwest Airlines – Disability accommodations
Frontier Airlines – Special Services.
JSX – Contact their Access Services. JSX, a semi-private jet service, is officially Autism Aware Certified, meaning their staff are trained to support passengers with autism. Their simplified boarding and smaller terminals offer a quieter, more manageable travel experience.
Emirates – Global First in Autism Certification Emirates is on track to become the world's first Autism Certified airline, training 30,000+ staff to better serve passengers with sensory sensitivities. Future enhancements include sensory guides and autism-friendly in-flight products.
Wings for All®: Airport Practice Without Leaving the Ground
These events are hosted at select airports across the country and can make a big difference in helping families reduce anxiety around flying. They partner with different airlines and different airports throughout the country.
Because here's the truth: air travel doesn't have to be a barrier. With the right support and preparation, it can be the beginning of something beautiful—a family adventure that creates memories, builds confidence, and shows your child (and you) what's possible.

May Is Mental Health Awareness Month—And You Matter
I am blessed to meet other entrepreneurs in a variety of fields. There's a pattern I've started noticing more and more lately.
Part of learning about being an entrepreneur—besides marketing, operations, legal, and financial strategies—many programs are also including mindset training, emotional intelligence classes, burnout prevention, and how to protect our mind, spirit, and emotions.
Being a small business owner really can bring so much—because we are in charge of everything! We're not a big corporation with hundreds of staff and different departments to care for each thing. It gets overwhelming sometimes. And when things get hard, it hits our emotions, our confidence, a little bit of ego. But when things get really hard, many entrepreneurs experience mental crisis.
I bring this up because May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Some of you are business owners. Some of you are managing others at work. But if you are reading The Autism Passport, that means you are a parent, family member, or caregiver who has more responsibility, more stress, more burnout.
And I just want to invite you to take care of your mental health.
When we just go nonstop—give, care, and do for others—but don't care for our own physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health, our body will eventually "yell" for help. And then it may be a little too late.
There is nothing more important than caring for you so you can keep caring for your loved ones.
I invite you to check local resources, parent support groups, and even mental health professionals. You deserve support. You deserve rest. You deserve to feel whole.
May Is Also Apraxia Awareness Month
If apraxia impacts your family, here's a helpful resource with a fun activity to see how the brain and body can be disconnected. It also includes information to learn more about apraxia:
